Clue Card Game
In the Hasbro Clue Card Game, players use strategy to determine the culprit, weapon, and location of a crime by gathering information from other players.
Objective: Be the first player to correctly accuse the three cards (Suspect, Weapon, Location) secretly placed under the "Crime card".
- Setup: One card each for suspect, weapon, and location are placed in a confidential pile (the "Crime card"). The remaining Evidence cards and Case File cards are used for gameplay.
- Player Turns: On your turn, you ask the player to your left about any two evidence cards (e.g., "Plum and the knife").
-
Gathering Clues:
- If the asked player has one or both of the named cards, they must secretly show you one of them. If they have both, they choose which one to reveal.
- If they have neither, the next player to the left is asked the same question, and this continues until a card is shown or every player has been asked.
- Once a card is shown, your turn ends. You can then use the information to mark off cards on your detective notes, similar to the board game's notepad.
- Accusation: On your turn, if you are confident in your solution, you can make a final accusation. You place your chosen suspect, weapon, and location cards face down and secretly check the "Crime card" pile.
- Winning: If your three cards match the hidden cards, you reveal them and win the game. If they don't match, you lose and are out of the game (though you must still show cards to others when asked), and play continues for the remaining players.
